  1. Think about what you want to do when you grow up.

  2. Find the Right School for You
  3. Complete your school/s of choice application (Contact the schools admissions office to get an application)
  4. Complete your Financial Aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov
    When you apply for FAFSA you could receive:
    • Pell Grant - Free money that you do not have to pay back
    • Opportunity Grant - Free money to help pay for classes
    • Tuition Waver - Free money that pays for your tuition
    • Subsidized Loans - Low interest loans that have to be paid back, but the interest begins building as soon as you take out the loan
    • Unsubsidized Loans - Low interest loans that have to be paid back, but the interest begins building as soon as you take out the loan
    • Scholarships - Free money that you do not have to pay back, but you must fill out an application for
  5. Once you have decided what school you want to go to and have been accepted, make an appointment to see the schools academic counselor
  6. Register for Classes
  7. Follow-up with your schools Financial Aid Office about your financial award
